About the Class

Welcome to Linda's knitting class!

We are glad that you are here. Many of the knitters have taken Linda's classes for several years because we like Linda, the projects, and enjoy each others' company. We are also happy when newcomers join us and former students return. Here are a few things you should know:

Projects are optional. You do not have to make all of them. Go at your own pace, do the ones you like, and take as much time as you need. Linda will give us a lot of material because there are some knitters who work at a fast pace.

If you need help with your project, please sign the white board. Linda will go to each student in order of the names on the list after her class presentation.

In case you need help between classes, have questions, or need to contact someone in class, etc., an email and phone number list will be typed and given to each student by Linda L. A sign up sheet will be passed around at the beginning of each new session.

There are several items that are available for student use. The swift and ball winder can be used in class if Linda is given notice in advance to bring it, and blocking boards can be checked out for one week. These items were purchased from prize monies awarded to the class by entering the state and county fair competitions.

We receive a 10% discount during sessions from the following yarn/craft shops: Auburn Needleworks, Ben Franklin, and The Tin Thimble. You may need to bring your enrollment form or class fee receipt for proof.

The group is known as the Knotty Knitters. Linda brought a knoddy to class one day to show us how to make hanks (that's another lesson). Linda L. came up with the name for our group after that, and we kept it ever since.
