Summer 4

Hi. We had a fun time at Starbuck's yesterday; I was inspired to get back into knitting afterwards and finished half a moebius basket. Bev is knitting really cute socks, and Vicki and Diane had incredible stories to tell. Carolyn sent the following email today for the next party; she has a beautiful house and pool. Hope you will be there.

Summer 3

Hi, I just got back from the Joshua Tree area in the desert.

I wanted you to know that a few of us are getting together on Friday, June 29, for lunch and knitting. We will meet at the Foresthill exit Starbuck’s which is next to Baker’s Square in Auburn at 1 p.m. and go across the street to Hawaiian BBQ for lunch. We plan to go back to Starbuck’s for knitting, show and tell, or just to get inspired around 2 p.m. Please join us if you are free. Sorry for the last minute notice, but plans were just made today inspired by Bev’s comment from the last blog. I haven’t made anything since class, but I have read knitting books from several libraries that I will bring tomorrow.

If I don't see you tomorrow, I hope to see you on July 12. Stay cool.

Summer 2

Hi. We had a wonderful time at Carolyn's lovely home last Thursday. It was a hot day, so we enjoyed lounging in the beautiful pool and jacuzzi and watch the sun set. Andrea from the Monday night class finished her first preemie hat; Jan learned how to knit the rim for her intrelac tote, and Diana worked on her sixth wallet. As usual, there was a nice selection of appetizers and dessert.

The get together for this week, June 21, has been cancelled. Our next get together is on July 12 at Carolyn's house. Then in August it will be either on the 23rd or the 30th depending on your vote.

Hope to see you at the next gathering.

Carolyn is inviting us to her home for a knitting party on June 14. Many of you cannot make this one, so there is another one on June 21 at Linda's house. The information below comes from Carolyn.

Moebius Week 4

This was the last class, and we had a lovely time! It was fun eating and looking at all the fantastic projects we finished. Thanks to Pat's husband, a group picture was captured on several cameras. I wish I took one picture of all three tables in view since they were all filled with beautiful knitted accessories and sweaters. Julie suggested that we enter these projects at the Gold Country Fair in Auburn for only 50 cents. We were surprised and blessed by Vicki's gift to all of us: beautiful necklaces which she made herself. Also, we received a nice Certificate of Completion from Linda.

Don't forget the June party; directions will follow via email and here. Have a wonderful summer; I will miss you. This blog will continue through the summer so write back about your projects.

Our cozy little village above.

I love this group picture.

Linda L. wanted me to capture Linda as she turned red; the class showed their appreciation to Linda with a Thank You card and a gift certificate to Auburn Needleworks.
Vicki's gift to us above; it was hard to decide which one to take since they were all beautiful.
