Moebius Week 2

The show n' tell was fantastic. There were moebius scarves, bags, baskets, and even a mouse bed! We came to a conclusion last night that we have some serious knit addicts in this class. We continued our moebius scarves, and Linda reviewed the cast on. Linda's daughter is back for the summer; it is nice to have her join us.
Carolyn has invited us for a pool party in June. Please jot this date on your calendar: June 21 (UPDATE - THIS DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO JUNE 14), Thursday, at 6 p.m. Share appetizers and bring along your swimsuit and/or knitting. Map will be available at a later day.
Ruth and Diana finished their soft and beautiful moebius scarves. Ruth's scarf is above, and Diana's scarf is below.
Ruth made the cute baskets below. You go, girl!
Linda, our instructor, showed us the fabulous projects she displayed at a gallery in Reno: a beautiful, detailed felted purse and a moebius basket with a flower wrapped around the handle. The flowers are on both sides of the purse, so you know this took time.
Bea made this darling Denise purse below from the pattern distributed at the last class.

Above is the inside of the mosaic needle case Beverly "whipped" together; the outside is below, the lovely black and white dog design. She also made a longer version of the Andean purse, finished her eye glass case and needle holder with a faux suede lining. What talent!
In two weeks, Diane created a wonderful moebius bag, basket, a darling mouse bed, and two different needle holders. She plans to felt the red basket. What next? Those of you who were absent, we missed you. You are all an inspiration. Can't wait to see what projects you bring next week.
