Hearth & Home Wk 1

Welcome back to class! It was nice to see everyone. Diana made us delicious ginger cookies. There was a lot of show n' tell, and the photos are below.

Linda gave us the Fall list of projects and a pattern for the fruit flavored market bag that we started in class.

Next Week
The big challenge will be announced!

We will continue the Fruit Flavored Market Bag, and Linda will give us the pattern for the Knit and Purl Pillow. For the pillow, use either Cascade 220 yarn or Fisherman's Wool about 440 yards and size 7 needles. The gauge is 5 sts per inch.

A $5 materials fee is being collected this week and next week.

Diana, thank you for your nice comment. The notes and pics for the 1st day back is always the hardest one to do, but exciting. It took a long time, so I left some details out. I used to take minutes as a secretary for many years, so it is second nature for me, and I like doing this. I appreciate you looking for it right away. Love, Irene

You ARE so awesome Irene. Thank you for the blog as always. I signed up today for Lisa Bogart's book tour at Whistlestop in Colfax at 3pm. I am going to stay and knit a square for her Warm Up America blanket, sounds like fun. Hope to see some classmates there too. Teri

Teri, thank you for your warm comments. I'm glad this blog is useful. I hope several others will be at the Whistle Stop too. I will not be able to attend, but it sounds like fun.
