3d Trimester, Wk 5

Isn't this cute? This hood is really a moebius shawl twisted twice. It's worth it to take time to measure and gauge like Teri did. When worn as a shawl, it rests elegantly on her shoulders.

Sandi made two moebius scarves using different yarns and patterns; she also knitted a regular scarf with beautiful, soft brown yarn that she bought at Stitches West.

Claudia completed her plorn bag! She says that she is obsessed with finding unusual color plastic bags.

Moebius Project
This week some of us worked on the moebius scarves while others started on their state flowers.

State Flower Challenge
Next week is state flower night. Half of the class got started tonight. Good news: all of the state flowers are taken! Thank you to all of you who are knitting multiples. Diana sent us all an email regarding the details this week.

Knitted Bras
Candi mentioned that High Hand is having a decorated bra auction for the Breast Cancer Society. She thought you may want to donate your knitted bra to a good cause if it is lying in the back of a closet. The registration fee is $10. For information, see their website (highhand.com), or contact Candi.

$1 Sale
Diane's daughter is having a $1 sale this Saturday at her boutique. See left hand column under "Our Web Sites" for details.

It's Official
Some more good news: Linda's son proposed on Thursday (4/15) at Cinderella's castle. Yes, his girlfriend was surprised and happy. The staff at Disney World made it very special.

Cynthia finished her gloves: a perfect fit!

Pat felted this cute box made out of squares.

Happy knitting!
