3d Trimester, Wk 6

This week was state flower knit night. It was so nice to see Bea, Karen M, Eileen, and Colleen join us and share what they are making. The flowers are all beautiful, and it was so nice to receive help from everyone.

Karen's lilacs. There are 90 flowers on here. See the little bumble bee? She also made Nevada sagebrush which is just as detailed and real looking. I'm sorry I forgot to take a picture.

Mae from the Monday night class felted a camellia. The leaves have veins.

The California poppy by Sandy. Great color.

Moebius Scarves

Rosemary made a moebius bag and a scarf that can be wrapped around her neck 4 times. She is holding the scarf in her left hand.

Laurie's pretty lavendar scarf.

Nancy's lovely gray scarf.

Pat's sweet scarf.

Next Week
We have several choices for next week's project. Please pick one and bring the appropriate supplies.

a. Work on state flower.

b. Work on moebius scarf.

c. Revisit the felted modular bag. Bring 5 colors of wool yarn.

d. Make color plastic yarn. Bring white plastic bags, acrylic Apple Barrel metallic paint or any small jars of acrylic paint (the 50 cent kind), newspaper, a sea sponge or saran wrap, a paper plate, and an apron.

e. A secret one-night project. Bring small amounts of scrap feltable wool yarn and size 10.5 needles.

Linda's plastic color yarn using metallic paint.

Colleen's sister sewed a knitting tote bag and a circular needle holder for her birthday. The bag is a nice large size. Colleen also gave us a pattern for felted flip flops.

Happy knitting!
