3d Trimester, Wk 12

It was the last class for the spring session. Linda was out of state for a special wedding shower, etc., so we took pictures for her to see.

Hi Linda. We know you would want us to have a pleasant time at our Yarn Tasting, so we accomplished the goal.

Pat thoughtfully furnished us with 10 beverage containers in blue, green, and pink to put our yarn in.

Nine varieties of yarn were brought to share. We all learned something new about the yarn which was exciting to us.

Here are the sampler scarves we started with the yarn. The colors all matched together nicely. Candi shared with us the pattern for the multidirectional diagonal scarf, and Diane shared the pattern for the diagonal scarf.

Everyone, here is a reminder for the summer.

Summer Knit Together
Tuesday, Jul 20, is the date for our summer knit together at the park near Racetrack Rd in Auburn. We will gather around 6 pm for a potluck and knitting. Watch for emails throughout the summer regarding this picnic, our state fair award(s), the Art Walk, etc. It will be nice to see each other before Fall.

A couple of places mentioned during our Yarn Tasting to meet for knitting this summer are Auburn Knit Night and the Tin Thimble. Auburn Knit Night meets at Courthouse Coffee on 1425 Lincoln Way in Auburn every Tuesday night from 6-9 pm; it is free. Diana has attended a few of their meetings. The Tin Thimble has a free knitting circle on the THIRD Thursday of every month. Their location is at The Packing Shed at High Hand Nursery, at 3750 Taylor Rd in Loomis, 916-652-2134. Please RSVP so that they can make sure to have enough room for everyone. They will meet on June 17, July 15, and August 19. It's a good idea to email the Knotty Knitters when you go in case they are free that night too.

Pat made this beautiful blue scarf from the yarn she won playing YARNO last week.

Have a wonderful, fun summer. I will miss you. Please email me news and photos to share on the blog this summer. Live, Laugh, Knit!
