Summer 1

Mother Bear Project. Embroidering the face was the hardest.

Happy Birthday to all July knitters! It's only been a week since class ended, but I already miss your show 'n tells. Summer is a good time to finish projects from the spring class and start some new ones you didn't have time for. I work on the unfinished projects early in the summer as an incentive to start on new patterns. This way I get them done and don't have any old class projects left unfinished when the new class starts.

LYS on Vacation
Are you going to stop at a local yarn shop (LYS) while on vacation? Tell us about it. I stopped at The Wool Tree in South Lake Tahoe. She has EZ Bobs like the ones Linda showed us for intarsia (one package of small and one package of large) for $2.25 a package and will order the medium size soon. If you are there, she has drop-in knit night on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. I told her about our bra challenge, and she picked out a couple of skeins she would have used which are beautiful.

Resume for the State Fair
To the knotty knitters showing bras at the state fair, please send a brief paragraph about yourself to Diana asap (this week). Bras and resumes will be taken to the fair next week. See her email for details. Diana has been going through some ups and downs with the state fair committee's decisions. The flexibility and fast response to emails from our ladies, the willingness to help, and Diana's professionalism and dedication are very impressive.

Summer Pool Party
Carolyn is really looking forward to having us at her house on July 17 and hoping for a good crowd. An email will be coming around the mountain later this month.

Fall Registration
The news from Linda is that registration starts August 26.

Calendar

Before July 11. Get bras and bios to Diana or Julie for the state fair.

August 26. Registration for Fall classes.

All summer. Collect yarn labels for Fall project.
